Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Project Manager for its Strategic Infrastructure unit to lead major UK projects aligned with net-zero goals. You will drive development, sanction, and execution, manage EPC contracts, and deliver on time and within budget while ensuring high HSE standards.

You will travel 2-3 times weekly across the East and West Midlands to sites and offices, coordinating with partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience of project management is essential.
• Background in engineering desirable but not essential.
• Proven experience managing NEC contracts within large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage key sections of an SI project within the PM and Engineering team.
• Project management of several NEC contracts concurrently.
• Collaborate with National Grid and partner colleagues.
• Ensure activities meet key milestones and governance.
• Apply robust risk management and timely risk mitigation.
• Deliver projects within budgets, forecasts, and CapEx spend.
• Foster safety culture and lead by example on safety issues.
