Job summary

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Infrastructure Delivery team delivering high‑voltage substations and grid connections in Cheshire. You will manage a team of Project Managers through construction and commissioning of 400kV assets as part of the UK’s net zero transition.

Based on site or at a project office with regional travel and ad hoc home work, you’ll drive safety, budget control and delivery, coordinating with contractors,

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• A recognised project management qualification (APM/PRINCE2) would be advantageous.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules and risks across large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Project Managers in construction projects delivering 400kV substations and grid connections.
• Manage procurement and delivery phases with internal and external stakeholders to meet milestones.
• Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, within Cheshire-based sites and offices.
