Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company in Birmingham is seeking a Project Manager to support delivery of Net Zero schemes by providing structured project management across strategy, carbon capture, storage, hydrogen and related programmes.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage risks and interdependencies, and align initiatives with the Change Portfolio, reporting to the New Schemes Programme Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within a structured project management framework.
• Experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies with appropriate application.
• Able to use Jira and Excel to a high standard.
• Analytically minded with superb problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and manage a diverse workload.
• Able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships across internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Support the business with the definition and implementation of change initiatives through project management guidance including scoping, goal setting, timeline and resource planning, risk and issue management, budgeting and handling dependencies.
• Provide project management expertise across the business aligned with methodology and tools driven centrally by the Change team.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to build change impact into planning and design in a structured way, and feed change outcomes back into the Operating Model and Process Architecture for knowledge management.
• Work with the business development team to turn impact assessments into business cases/programme initiation documents for new net zero schemes.
• Ensure that key initiatives are captured and prioritised within the LCCC Change Portfolio.
• Maintain an up-to-date view of the interdependencies, project plans, risks and issues across the key initiatives, and reporting on this to the Change Committee.
• Promote continuous improvement, supporting the Senior Head of Strategy & Change and other Heads to action opportunities across the business, including lessons learnt from change projects.
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
