Job summary

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of HV substation projects across the North-West, including Cheshire. You will guide a team of project managers, ensure safety, time and budget adherence, and influence strategic decisions as part of the infrastructure delivery programme.

The role supports the UK’s net zero goals with cross-functional collaboration across contracts, engineering, and site teams, based mainly on-site with regional

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project and/or contract management within a construction, infrastructure or engineering environment.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills, including budget control and performance reporting.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to risk management, continuous improvement and project delivery.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements, including CDM regulations.
• An engineering background or strong technical understanding of engineering projects.
• A full UK driving licence.
