Job summary

MBDA in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to lead through-life support for future export customers. You will influence system design and craft a robust support solution to ensure effective through-life support of Missiles and Missile Systems.

The role covers the full lifecycle from concept through in service, including ILS costings, risk assessment, and team mentoring. A broad engineering background and strong ASD S-Series knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ILS/Supportability/Through-Life Support in defence or aerospace.
• Broad engineering background, degree level or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of ASD S-Series ILS standards and practical application.
• Experience working with UK MOD customers and defence primes (desirable).
• Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and communicate across international stakeholders.
• Experience supporting bids and proposals.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple issues.
• Ability to lead a team and plan work strategically with commitments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of ILS strategies and plans in line with project requirements.
• Manage ILS activities across lifecycle from concept to in-service.
• Develop a robust Through-Life Support policy.
• Ensure compliance with ASD S-Series standards and MoD ILS standards.
• Oversee LSA, maintenance task analysis, spares modelling and provisioning.
• Act as the primary ILS point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Oversee delivery of support equipment UK-wide and internationally.
• Support bid and proposal activities including ILS costing and risk.
• Mentor ILS practitioners within the programme or team.
• Identify and manage ILS risks, assumptions and dependencies.
