Job summary

MBDA is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to lead the development and delivery of ILS strategies for future export customers, influencing design to ensure effective through-life support.

The role covers the full lifecycle from concept to in-service, with compliance to ASD S-Series and MoD standards, plus bid support and mentoring of ILS practitioners. Location options include Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ILS/Supportability/Through-Life Support roles within defence or aerospace.
• Engineering degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of ASD S-Series ILS standards.
• Experience working with UK MOD customers and defence primes (desirable).
• Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting bids and proposals.
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of ILS strategies and plans aligned with customer and contractual requirements.
• Manage ILS activities across the full lifecycle from concept to in-service.
• Develop a robust Through Life Support Policy.
• Ensure compliance with ASD S-Series standards and MoD ILS standards (S1000D, S2000M, S3000L, S4000P, S5000F, DefStan 00-600).
• Oversee LSA, maintenance task analysis, spares modelling and provisioning, training and documentation.
• Act as primary ILS point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Oversee delivery of support equipment within the UK and internationally.
• Support bid and proposal activities including ILS costing and risk assessment.
• Mentor ILS practitioners and manage risks and dependencies.
