Job summary

Prestwick Aerosystems Limited is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide strategic and operational HR support at the Prestwick site. The role focuses on partnering with the business across the full employee lifecycle and leading the HR Advisory team to deliver high-quality people support.

The successful candidate will advise leaders in a unionised, safety-critical environment, develop HR policies and coach managers on people matters. CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of UK employment law and core HR practices.
• Experience advising managers in a unionised environment.
• Generalist HR practitioner experience in a complex, operational organisation (manufacturing/engineering).
• Demonstrated experience supporting trade union engagement and change.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational HR partnering to the site, aligned to business plans and organisational priorities across the full employee lifecycle.
• Lead and develop the HR Advisory team, ensuring consistent, high‑quality people support and effective case management across the organisation.
• Act as a key point of contact for Trade Union engagement, working in partnership with representatives to support employee relations, consultation and change activity.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and people plans that meet operational requirements and support a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach to people management.
• Advice and coach leaders on people‑related matters, applying sound judgement and professional expertise within a unionised, safety‑critical environment.
