Job summary

G MASS Consulting is partnering with a leading global financial market infrastructure provider to appoint an HR Risk & Control Manager in the first line Risk & Control function. The role shapes how HR controls are designed, evidenced and assured, working closely with senior leadership to drive the programme forward.

You will sit at the heart of the HR operating model redesign, challenging existing controls and supporting rapid delivery within a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in risk and control in financial services.
• Solid understanding of HR operating models, processes and controls.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and mitigate operational risk.
• Confidently engage with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
• Strong influencing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Risk & Control team's representative in operating model and control design workshops alongside the external consultancy
• Assess the current and future state HR control framework, covering both key mandatory controls and softer process-level controls
• Identify, evaluate and recommend mitigations for risks across HR processes and the wider people function
• Provide first line challenge to the business, testing whether controls are in place, operating effectively and whether issues are being self-identified
• Review the consultancy's findings and recommendations, raising challenge where control assurance has not been adequately demonstrated
• Present and justify assessments to the Risk & Control management team and senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes and decisions
• Help accelerate delivery of the wider project and programme
