Job summary

Tayside Contracts, the shared operating arm of Angus, Dundee City and Perth & Kinross councils, is seeking an HR Policy Adviser to write, review and maintain employment policies and procedures to stay legally sound and fit for purpose.

The role also supports the Recruitment and Retention Action Plan across catering, cleaning and roads services; CIPD Associate membership is required or equivalent, and a driving licence or other means of travelling efficiently around Tayside.

Qualifications

• CIPD Associate Membership, or equivalent qualification or experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to plan and organise work to meet objectives and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain all employment policies and associated procedures
• Ensure policies are legally compliant and operationally effective, aligned with strategic objectives
• Contribute to implementing the Recruitment and Retention Strategy Action Plan
• Help keep the organisation suitably resourced, flexible and resilient as needs change
