Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council is seeking an experienced HR professional for a part-time Employee Relations Adviser role (17.5 hours weekly). You will advise managers and staff on disciplinary, grievances, performance and absence matters, handling TUPE and organisational change.

Flexibility for hybrid/remote work with some travel across Argyll and Bute is expected. The ideal candidate will hold CIPD Level 3 (Level 5 preferred), have strong Employment Law knowledge and proficient MS365 skills, and be

• Experience providing information and guidance through different communication methods.
• Good knowledge of Employment Law.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Argyll and Bute.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, professional HR advice to managers and employees on disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
• Support TUPE, organisational change, and job evaluation processes.
• Assist with absence management and terms of service as required.
