Job summary

GXO is seeking an HR Manager for our Manchester site to lead a small HR team and drive people initiatives. You will advise on ER cases, coach managers on HR processes, and ensure payroll and HR data compliance on site.

The role focuses on policy adherence, on-site KPI management and collaboration with union representatives. A full-time, Monday–Friday pattern with flexibility is expected, as logistics demand requires.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on ER cases and policy adherence.
• Experience working in a union environment with ER caseloads.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and how it applies to site HR.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR matters for the on-site site and team.
• Coach managers on HR processes, ER, absence, and performance management.
• Manage HR KPI data on site: absence, headcount and other metrics.
• Implement and maintain efficient HR processes and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance to colleagues on HR matters and policies on site.
• Support union relations and ER case handling and escalation.
