Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a HR People Partner to partner across our business functions and embed the People Strategy. You will report to the Senior HR Business Partner and support the tactical delivery of HR activities aligned to Performance, Talent, Capability development and Employee Relations.

You will travel regularly as part of a client-facing role, providing expert HR guidance and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and line managers.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or progress toward CIPD with experience in HR partnering.
• Experience in partnering with regional and functional HR requirements.
• Ability to liaise with HR professionals to provide specialised advice and programmes.
• Understanding of employment law and ACAS code of best practice.

Responsibilities

• Partner across business functions to support and embed the People Strategy.
• Support tactical delivery of HR activities including performance, talent, and employee relations.
• Provide expert HR advice to managers and act as a SME on complex or high-risk HR issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders, managers, employees and unions.
• Travel regularly as this is a client-facing role.
