Job summary

Unity Power Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Manager to own and develop the HR function, providing professional guidance to Directors, managers and staff. You will implement robust people processes, oversee recruitment, onboarding and lifecycle activities, and coordinate training with the Health & Safety Engineer.

You will manage employee relations, ensure legal compliance, maintain records, and drive performance management and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR functions and advising senior management.
• Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR policies.
• Experience managing recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
• Experience handling employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievances.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the confidence to advise senior management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve HR policies, procedures and processes.
• Provide HR guidance on employment law and company policies.
• Oversee recruitment from job descriptions to onboarding.
• Oversee inductions, probationary periods and lifecycle processes.
• Lead employee relations matters, investigations and disciplinary/grievance procedures.
• Develop and oversee performance management and development opportunities.
• Review HR documentation and maintain confidential employee records.
• Coordinate training, qualifications and compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Support workforce planning and recruitment forecasts with Directors and Project Managers.
• Identify HR risks and opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
