Job summary

United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide expert advice on people matters and coach line managers in line with UKNNL policies. You will deliver strategic case management, absence handling, and collaborate with the HR Support Team to ensure a high-quality employee experience.

Key requirements include CIPD qualifications or progressing toward and strong knowledge of employment law.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or working towards with knowledge of employment legislation.
• Strong team working and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to handle complex employee relations matters.
• Ability to prioritise with pragmatic decision making and conflict resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to legal notes and data entry.
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel; able to drive tasks to completion.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance and 5 years UK residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide sound HR advice and coach line managers in line with UKNNL policies.
• Manage efficient case management on employee relations and people management issues.
• Advise on absence management including occupational health referrals and return-to-work cases.
• Collaborate with the HR Support Team to ensure effective advice and support.
• Utilise HR metrics to compile data packs and monitor trends.
• Advise on job design, recruitment and onboarding, restructuring and redeployment.
• Work with HR Centres of Excellence to support cross-functional activities.
• Support and/or lead site or company-wide HR projects and change initiatives.
• Assist HR Business Partners during organisational change and site communications.
• Support governance and assurance processes for HR.
