Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom is seeking a consultant with experience in safety risk management and operations planning to support highway project delivery and ensure safe, efficient operation of roads. You will contribute to hazard identification, risk analysis workshops, and safety documentation while working with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce clear written reports demonstrating safety considerations and modifications.
• Ability to present to senior stakeholders on safety analysis results.
• Understanding of operational safety for road users and workers.
• Knowledge of highway operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with tools and methodologies like iRAP, COBALT, RRRAP and BCR.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage deliverables independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of projects focused on the safe and efficient operation of highways from early stage through to scheme delivery.
• Contribute to safety risk assessment development including hazard identification and risk analysis workshops.
• Assist in undertaking other safety reviews and analysing safety data to identify hazards and mitigation opportunities.
• Support the development of safety documentation, reports and well-reasoned arguments.
• Assist in the application of standards such as DMRB GG104 and client-specific requirements.
• Engage with clients, project teams and stakeholders on safety matters.
