Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom seeks a consultant to support safety risk management and operations planning for highway projects. You will contribute to hazard identification, risk analysis workshops and safety reviews across the lifecycle of infrastructure schemes.

The role requires producing clear safety-focused reports, presenting findings to senior stakeholders, and engaging with clients on safety matters. Hybrid working and UK offices are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce clear written reports and show safety confidence.
• Ability to present to senior stakeholders on safety analysis results.
• Understanding of operational safety considerations for road users and road workers.
• Knowledge of highways operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with safety tools and methodologies such as iRAP, COBALT, RRRAP, BCR.
• Proactive, organized and self-motivated with ability to manage tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of projects focused on safe and efficient highway operation from early stage through scheme delivery.
• Contribute to safety risk assessment development including hazard identification and risk analysis workshops.
• Assist in safety reviews and analysing data to identify hazards and mitigation opportunities.
• Support the development of safety documentation, reports and reasoned arguments.
• Assist in applying standards such as DMRB GG104 and client requirements.
• Engage with clients, project teams and stakeholders on safety matters.
