Job summary

Acis Group seeks a Business Development Manager to shape growth across the group, identifying opportunities and turning ambitious ideas into sustainable services. You will lead the funding and partnership agenda, engage with the Executive Leadership Team, and drive financial viability of programmes.

You will work across sites in South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, with flexible arrangements but regular site presence as needed to support bid activity and strategy execution.

Qualifications

• Full understanding of the funding and grant submission process and a proven track record of securing income through this route.
• Experience securing multiyear funding for full cost recovery and sustainable delivery.
• Experience generating diversified income through new markets and establishing new models.
• Experience of acquisitions and mergers to support business growth.
• Proven track record turning stakeholder relationships into productive partnerships.
• Experience managing budgets around £1m with budget planning and management.

Responsibilities

• Generate growth opportunities for the wider group in line with social purpose, including acquisitions and funding up to £10m.
• Develop a future-focused pipeline of income to deliver plans across delivery sites.
• Create new services or products to meet changing customer needs and secure funding.
• Lead partnerships with external funders, corporate, community, grants, trusts and public tenders.
• Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to grow services in line with the growth strategy.
• Oversee the bidding team, ensuring high-quality bid submissions and viable cost models.
• Research and develop a robust prospect pipeline from partnerships, acquisitions and government bodies.
• Develop and deliver innovative ideas to maximise income and impact.
