Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities across the UK and international markets. You will cultivate lasting customer relationships while delivering innovative solutions and working from a remote/field-based setup with occasional visits to clients and events.

The role offers a competitive base salary (£40,000–£60,000) with uncapped commission and a supportive, collaborative team from Grimsby HQ, plus travel opportunities abroad

Qualifications

• Experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Account Manager, or similar commercial role.
• Engineering or technical background preferred in Capital Equipment or related field.
• Proven success in generating new business and managing customer accounts.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for winning business.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within target markets.
• Develop and execute growth strategies to increase market share and revenue.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from inquiry to contract negotiation and delivery.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Visit clients across the UK and internationally for meetings and events.
• Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity and opportunities.
