Job summary

Well Placed HR are delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing Cornish business to recruit an experienced Group HR Business Partner.

With 350+ employees across several diverse and successful businesses, this is a broad, influential role with exposure at senior leadership and Board level. The position combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, including travel between Group locations.

Qualifications

• The successful Group HR Business Partner will be an experienced senior HR professional with a strong generalist HR background and proven experience of leading and developing an HR team.
• Experience of UK employment law, employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR policy is essential.
• CIPD Level 5 or above is preferred, with experience in multi-site or fast-moving commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the existing HR team.
• Shape and deliver the Group HR strategy with Directors and senior leaders.
• Provide expert HR advice on employee relations, employment law, workforce planning and best practice.
• Lead complex disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with UK employment legislation.
• Oversee recruitment, talent attraction and onboarding, working with managers to attract and retain high-quality employees.
• Support learning and development, performance management and career progression.
• Review remuneration, benefits and employee engagement initiatives.
• Oversee HR systems, employee data and GDPR compliance.
• Champion equality, diversity, inclusion and positive workplace culture.
• Provide a visible HR presence across the Group, including travel between sites when required.
