Job summary

Well Placed HR is partnering with a Cornwall-based organisation to recruit an experienced HR Officer. The role oversees day-to-day HR and supports managers, employees and HR systems.

The ideal candidate will have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, experience in hands-on HR roles, solid UK employment knowledge, and strong communication at all levels. The role offers hybrid working and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on HR Officer, HR Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and UK employment legislation.
• Experience supporting managers with employee relations matters.
• Experience managing recruitment and the employee lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day HR function and providing practical support to managers and employees.
• Managing end-to-end HR processes, systems and documentation.
• Overseeing recruitment, onboarding and candidate management.
• Managing the employee journey from onboarding through reviews and offboarding.
• Monitoring attendance, absence and performance, identifying trends.
• Managing employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives.
• Advising managers on employee relations matters and disciplinary/grievance processes.
• Providing guidance and training on HR processes and people management.
• Maintaining HR systems and accurate employee data.
• Supporting development and implementation of HR policies and processes.
• Mentoring an HR Administrator/Coordinator.
• Supporting the wider management team to foster a positive workplace.
