Job summary

Harper May is working with a founder-led financial services firm that has grown steadily and is now scaling. They seek a FP&A Manager to bring structure, consistency, and analytical rigour to planning and performance reporting.

You will report to the Finance Director and own the full planning cycle—from annual budget through monthly and quarterly forecasts. Your focus will be on building reliable models that stakeholders trust and translating financial data into insights that drive

Qualifications

ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Three to five years of FP&A or commercial finance experience in financial services.
Solid financial modeling skills and comfort with Excel.
Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Pragmatic problem-solver who can work with imperfect data and improve over time.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning.
Produce monthly performance reporting with clear commentary on variances and trends.
Build financial models to support pricing, profitability, and product-level analysis.
Work with business leaders to understand drivers and assumptions, challenging where needed.
Support management accounts and provide analysis for investor and Board reporting.
Identify process improvements and move from manual spreadsheets to more robust systems.
