Job summary

Acsol Ltd in Manchester is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own the finance function, combining hands-on financial control with strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. You will report to the Chief Executive and support the Board with robust financial reporting.

The role requires a qualified accountant with at least five years in senior finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex figures clearly.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly management accounts and Board reports.
• Lead annual budgets, reforecasts and 30-year business plan projections.
• Manage cashflow, borrowing, investments and treasury compliance.
• Coordinate annual external audit and statutory compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, banking, credit control and rent arrears.
• Lead annual rent reviews with housing management team.
• Provide financial analysis and support to CEO, leadership team and Board.
• Maintain strong financial controls and utilise Xero and other systems.
