Job summary

Hireful is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, controls and cash flow for a Private Equity-backed technology group. The role reports to the Finance Director and drives transformation, combining strategic influence with hands-on leadership.

The position is based in Manchester with hybrid working. The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials, prior FC or senior finance management experience, and a track record in fast-paced environments, including

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager experience.
• Experience leading finance teams and delivering financial reporting.
• Exposure to acquisitions, integration, and business transformation is desirable.

The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and will lead financial reporting, controls, cash flow and compliance while managing a talented team. You ll drive process improvement, champion AI and automation, support acquisitions and play a pivotal role in scaling the Group s finance operations.

Role: Financial Controller aka Group Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, Finance Manager, Financial Reporting Manager.

Location: Manchester Hybrid working is in place

Salary: £70k - £80k base salary + great benefits

About you

We re looking for a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager experience, strong technical expertise and proven leadership skills. Experience in acquisition integration, business transformation and fast-paced environments is highly desirable. Exposure to private equity, technology, SaaS, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Power BI would be advantageous.
