Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• At least five years in a senior financial management role.
• Experience in housing or charity sector is advantageous.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quarterly management accounts and financial reports for the Board.
• Leading annual budgets, reforecasts and long-term financial projections, including the organisation’s 30-year business plan.
• Managing cashflow, borrowing, investments and treasury compliance.
• Coordinating the annual external audit and ensuring statutory and accounting compliance.
• Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping, banking, credit control and rent arrears.
• Leading annual rent reviews in conjunction with the housing management team.
• Providing financial analysis, advice and support to the Chief Executive, leadership team and Board.
• Maintaining effective financial controls and making the best use of Xero and other business systems.
