Job summary

Accountancy Action - A Factotum Company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Financial Controller with ACA/ACCA qualifications and 3+ years in a senior finance role. You will lead the preparation of management accounts, reports, and statutory statements while driving improvements across financial systems and processes.

You will manage audits, financial controls, month-end activities, and oversee VAT, PAYE and UK tax reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least three years' experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Proven experience managing audits, financial controls and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting and annual financial statements.
• Managing the annual and interim audit processes.
• Providing strong financial controls for the business.
• Driving improvements to financial systems.
• Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, cash flow reporting and month-end procedures.
• Managing fixed assets.
• Overseeing VAT, PAYE, corporation tax support and other HMRC reporting requirements.
• Leading, developing and supporting the Finance team, promoting a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
