Job summary

Sussex Recruitment Ltd is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to join the Clients finance department as the Accountant. You will manage day-to-day finance activities, drive high performance, and deliver robust financial analysis to support the business.

The role covers month-end reporting, group consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and coordinating with external advisers to ensure compliant statutory accounts and tax returns. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Month-end financial reporting process management.

Job description

We are seekinga qualified Financial Controllerto join as the Accountant in our Clients finance department. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Finance team and delivering high performance, continuous improvement and excellent financial analysis to the business.

Duties will include:

• Management of the month-end financial reporting process
• Production of Group consolidated financial statements
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts and review monthly cash forecasts
• Introducing an annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Work with external providers of legal, accounting, audit and other professional advice, especially to ensure the compliance and filing of Statutory Financial Statements to Companies House and corporate tax returns to HMRC.
• Assisting purchase and sales ledger with managing workload and introducing new processes. Motivate manage and inspire the finance team
• Qualified Accountant
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and to delegate effectively.
• Experience of delivering detailed reports and advice to senior management.

This is a full-time role, where the successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
