Job summary

Accountancy Action - A Factotum Company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Financial Controller with ACA/ACCA qualifications and 3+ years in a senior finance role. You will lead the preparation of management accounts, reports, and statutory statements while driving improvements across financial systems and processes.

You will manage audits, financial controls, month-end activities, and oversee VAT, PAYE and UK tax reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least three years' experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Proven experience managing audits, financial controls and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting and annual financial statements.
• Managing the annual and interim audit processes.

Job description

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially astute and forward-thinking Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in the continued growth and development of this business. The role will be 1 or 2 days of hybrid working per week.

This is much more than a traditional financial control role. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape and strengthen the financial operations, drive improvements across our systems and processes, and provide the financial insight and leadership that supports our long-term ambitions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting and annual financial statements.

• Providing strong financial controls for the business
• Driving improvements to financial systems,
