Job summary

Rg Consultancy is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a growing SME with turnover around £25 million. You will manage day-to-day finance, month-end close, and provide timely insights to support strategic decision-making.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, controls and collaborate with senior leaders. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professionals with SME experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with recognised professional credentials.
• Experience as Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
• Experience with SME or growing businesses.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and controls.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day finance function and ensure timely financial information.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, controls and relationships with external advisers.
