Job summary

The CFO HQ is seeking a Financial Controller/Head of Finance in Woking to lead the finance function for a multi-entity SME with circa £20m turnover. You will report to the MD and CFO, running day-to-day operations, delivering accurate board-ready reporting, and driving commercial finance initiatives.

Ideal candidates are fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a proven track record in similar roles, strong leadership, and an analytical mindset to challenge the business and enable growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with demonstrable track record in a similar role
• Commercial/analytical mindset with ability to drive growth and profit
• IT savvy with strong Excel skills and multi-currency experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and run the finance department
• Consolidate monthly management accounts and provide board commentary
• Lead budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and intercompany reconciliations
• Partner with senior leaders on cost, margin, and pricing reviews
• Develop forecasting models (3-5 year horizons) and internal controls
