Job summary

Science Group plc is seeking a Finance Manager for the Sagentia Innovation Practice in Cambridge to lead the local Finance team and work with senior leadership to drive profitability and cash, with a hands-on approach to analysis and reporting.

You will prepare management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive process improvements across the division, reporting to the Finance Director and collaborating with MDs and partners.

Qualifications

• Clear, concise information presentation with influence over finance and non-finance staff
• Analytical approach to resolving problems and identifying solutions
• Experience with month-end routines and financial data iteration

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts
• Support P&L budgeting and forecasting
• Own process adherence and improvement
• Enhance reporting through spreadsheet modelling
• Support Finance Director, MD and Managing Partners
• Prepare group/divisional reporting including sales commission/billable hours bonuses
• Participate in bids and proposals
• Manage direct and indirect reports
• Support project finance team with complex financial queries
