Job summary

The Science Group plc seeks a Business Finance Manager on a fixed term contract to lead the division's financial performance in Cambridgeshire. You will partner with senior leadership to interpret results, drive cash and profitability, and implement process improvements.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage a local finance team, oversee management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and group/divisional reporting, and ensure timely, accurate financial information for decision

Qualifications

• Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Ability to interpret financial information and communicate to non-finance staff.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of management accounts
• Support P&L budgeting and forecasting
• Ownership of process adherence and improvement
• Continual improvement of information reported including heavy use of spreadsheet modelling
• Support to the Finance Director, Managing Director and Managing Partners
• Preparation and support for Group and Divisional reporting (including quarterly sales commission calculations, billed hours bonus schemes and various cost analysis)
• Bids and Proposals
• Manage direct and indirect reports
• Support Project Finance Team with complex projects and financial queries
