Job summary

IPS Finance is seeking a strategic Head of Finance to lead the finance function in a fast-growing business in the UK. You will partner with the CFO and board to strengthen controls, drive performance and cash generation, and provide commercial insight to support growth.

You will lead budgeting, group reporting, and financial governance, while mentoring the finance team and delivering robust financial systems and processes across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Own Group reporting, monthly management information and consolidated accounts, providing clear insight to the CFO, Board and senior leadership team.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring assumptions, risks and opportunities are robust and commercially focused.
• Take responsibility for cashflow, working capital and cash management, ensuring appropriate funding and strong cash discipline.
• Maintain and improve robust financial controls, governance and compliance, including audit, tax and statutory reporting.
• Drive improvements to finance systems, processes and reporting, improving efficiency, data quality and visibility across the business.
• Provide financial leadership to operational and overhead teams, challenging performance around cost control, margins and cash conversion.
• Support strategic projects including acquisitions, integrations, disposals and due diligence, providing financial analysis and commercial challenge.
• Manage relationships with external advisers including auditors, banks, tax advisers and other key stakeholders.
