Job summary

Integral Business Support Ltd. seeks a hands-on Head of Finance to lead a small finance team and drive strategic financial guidance across the group. The role includes preparing management accounts, supporting commercial decisions, and maintaining strong controls and procedures.

The successful candidate will work with external payroll providers and a German accounting firm, ensuring compliance with UK tax, VAT, and HMRC rules while enabling growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence colleagues.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organisational ability.
• Willing to work at detail/transactional level.
• Working knowledge of UK tax, VAT and HMRC rules for expenses.
• Authorized to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts and other financial reports.
• Support colleagues with commercial decision-making and performance analysis.
• Develop and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Drive efficiencies and improvements.
• Manage statutory reporting requirements and liaise with external accountants. (The payrolls are run externally. A German firm of accountants is used to prepare the German statutory accounts).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and accounting standards. Provide basic advice on tax, VAT, allowable expenses, etc.
• Provide advice on any capital acquisitions.
