Job summary

Iconic Resourcing is looking for an experienced Financial Controller for a well-established SME manufacturing business in Stirling. You'll be the key financial lead, reporting directly to the Board while producing important financial documentation and ensuring accuracy.

This role includes managing payroll, coordinating audits, and supporting budgeting cycles. Ideal candidates are qualified accountants (CA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in manufacturing, strong skills in Sage and Excel, and can present financial information confidently at Board level.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant preferred; experience in senior finance role considered.
• Strong knowledge of relevant financial software required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts with commentary.
• Take ownership of all financial statements and reports.
• Run monthly payroll process and ensure compliance.
• Manage quarterly VAT returns and audits.
• Support budgeting and financial planning.
• Identify and report variances and trends.

Skills

Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA)

Experience in manufacturing or related sector

Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50

Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll

Strong working knowledge of Excel

Ability to present financial information clearly

Detail-oriented self-starter

Strong organisational skills

Commercial mindset
