Job summary

The CFO HQ in Solihull is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function within a well-established business. You will lead management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and controls, partnering with the Managing Director and senior leadership to shape commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified by ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience.
• Hands-on finance professional with autonomy and responsibility.
• Experience in a broader Financial Controller role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Monitoring cashflow and working capital.
• Overseeing purchases, sales, and payroll activities.
• Business partnering with operational teams for commercial decisions.
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining controls.
• Supporting year-end accounts and internal/external audits.
• Providing financial insight to support commercial decisions.
• Identifying improvements to finance systems, processes, and reporting.
