About the Opportunity:

North Northamptonshire Council, established in 2021 following the Local Government Reorganisation, is now one of the largest unitary councils in the country.

The council fosters a supportive "one-Council" culture, with strong leadership from CEO to Assistant Director levels, aiming to drive service improvements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly as the Strategic Finance Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting Enabling Services, including the Chief Executive, Finance, Legal, HR, Customer Services, and IT.
2. Managing and controlling the annual revenue budget, Medium-Term Financial Strategy, and capital programme.
3. Ensuring effective financial governance and controls.
4. Supporting Executive Directors, Assistant Directors, and Service Managers in financial stewardship.
