Job summary

Lord Search & Selection is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager for a West Midlands engineering services client. You will lead planning, scheduling and deployment of a field-based technical workforce, focusing on visibility, utilization and operational efficiency.

You will allocate resources, monitor capacity and demand, produce reports and coordinate resources for projects, planned works and customer shutdowns, driving improved processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling or workforce deployment.
• Highly organized with strong stakeholder management.
• Experience using scheduling/workforce management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage allocation of field-based resources.
• Maintain forward visibility of capacity and demand.
• Monitor utilisation, downtime, travel time and overtime.
• Produce operational reports and performance analysis.
• Coordinate resources for larger projects, planned works and customer shutdowns.
• Help improve planning processes, systems and ways of working.
