Job summary

G MASS Consulting is supporting a growing UK specialist bank by recruiting an Enterprise Business Architect to provide a bank-wide view of organisation, capabilities and shared services for the next growth phase.

The role owns the capability model and transformation roadmap, prioritising change by value, risk and dependency, and works closely with executive leadership, Technology Architecture, and Business Analysis to translate priorities into a deliverable plan.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an enterprise-level business architect with capability models and transformation roadmaps.
• Banking or financial services background, ideally within a regulated lending environment.
• Proven ability to influence and advise executive and board-level stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor, setting direction without a supporting team.
• Strong understanding of how business architecture connects with technology architecture and business analysis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to turn strategic goals into a defined set of business capabilities and priorities.
• Create and own the bank's capability map, advising on centralisation vs division ownership.
• Hold the single transformation roadmap for the bank, ordering initiatives by value, risk and interdependencies.
• Offer an impartial, bank-wide perspective to help leadership decide investments and timing.
• Work with Technology Architecture to ensure the future tech landscape supports the business shape.
• Set context and boundaries for Business Analysis teams and ensure programmes stay on course with the roadmap.
• Build consensus among divisional heads around a shared operating model, leading through influence.
