Job summary

University of Oxford in Oxford seeks a Digital Learning Manager on a maternity cover to lead the department’s digital education agenda and deliver an exceptional learning experience across a growing portfolio of postgraduate programmes.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on learning design, developing online and blended materials and partnering with academic and professional services teams. Remote-working arrangements are to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Qualification or equivalent professional experience in learning design/e-learning or a relevant field.
• Experience developing learning materials for face-to-face, online and/or blended teaching.
• Strong communication, planning and project management skills; understanding of accessibility and usability in HE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department’s digital education agenda and strategic direction.
• Review and develop digital learning technologies and environments; design online and blended course materials.
• Partner with academic and professional services teams on curriculum and learning design.
• Develop accessible, reusable templates and standards; use feedback and learning analytics for improvements.
• Plan and manage resources for digital education projects, including temporary staff and external contractors.
