Job summary

Farnell, an Avnet company, is seeking a proactive Demand Planner to join our Leeds team on a hybrid basis. You will own forecasting for a diverse product portfolio, collaborate with Product Management, Purchasing and Operations, and drive improvements in planning processes to optimise service levels and inventory investment.

• Experience in forecasting, inventory planning and supply chain disciplines, including DRP and MRP principles.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficient in PowerPoint, Power BI and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence, collaborate and build strong working relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining demand forecasts across your product portfolio.
• Monitoring demand trends, forecast performance and inventory health.
• Optimising planning parameters to balance customer service, availability and inventory investment.
• Supporting the S&OP process through analysis and insight.
• Partner with Product Management to execute inventory strategies that support margin growth.
• Use market and business data to identify stock investment opportunities and availability gaps.
• Optimise purchase order scheduling in line with demand, supply and market conditions.
• Monitor investment performance to maximise commercial and customer outcomes.
• Driving improvements in forecasting processes, planning methodologies and system utilisation.
• Lead cross-functional projects that improve business performance and efficiency.
