Job summary

Wynnstay Group is seeking an organised, proactive Credit Controller to join our Finance team and support cash performance across the business.

Reporting to the Group Credit Manager, you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, chase overdue balances and minimise credit risk with a professional approach. This role balances customer relationships and commercial judgement in a growing, values-led organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Credit Control role with 2–5 years' experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail oriented with a methodical approach.
• Professional and confident telephone manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and debt collection activities.
• Ensure timely collection to support healthy cash flow.
• Chase overdue accounts via phone, email and written comms.
• Review accounts and take action to recover debts.
• Conduct credit checks and assess creditworthiness.
• Maintain records of communications and actions taken.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Services to resolve queries.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements where appropriate.
• Produce aged debt reports and highlight high-risk accounts.
