Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance, conduct risk, governance or risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical business advice.
• Confidence influencing and constructively challenging stakeholders.
• Strong written communication skills for governance papers and MI.
• Commercial mindset focused on good customer outcomes.
• Knowledge of energy sector or gas/electricity SLCs is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical conduct guidance on customer propositions, journeys, communications and commercial decisions.
• Identify and help manage conduct, customer and regulatory risks.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance for the business.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on customers and activities.
• Support governance forums, risk assessments and development of controls.
• Review policies to ensure they are current and fit for purpose.
• Use customer data to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide constructive challenge for decision making.
• Produce clear governance insights and reporting for senior stakeholders.
