Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking an experienced Senior Community Safety Manager - Operations to lead frontline community safety services across Birmingham. You will coordinate internal delivery and multi-agency collaboration with LCSPs, driving performance, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement to reduce crime and harm.

The role emphasizes strategic translation into operational outcomes, safeguarding, and strong partnerships with police, housing providers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading operational teams in community safety or related enforcement fields.
• Experience delivering service improvements in complex partnership environments.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and relevant legislation (ASBCP Act 2014; Crime and Disorder Act 1998).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee response to anti-social behaviour and crime with a coherent operational approach.
• Lead operational delivery for community safety activity including supported exempt accommodation.
• Ensure intelligence-led, risk-based decision-making and robust case management.
