Job summary

Powys County Council invites applications for Strategic Communications and Engagement Lead (Ceredigion County Council) to shape the voice, visibility and public narrative of Mid Wales. You will provide senior communications, engagement and public affairs leadership across the Mid Wales Growth Deal and the wider regional programme.

• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic communications plans.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (and Welsh where applicable).

Strategic Communications and Engagement Lead (Ceredigion County Council)

This is a rare opportunity to shape the voice, visibility and public narrative of Mid Wales.

Growing Mid Wales is looking for a confident, politically astute and bilingual Strategic Communications and Engagement Lead to provide senior communications, engagement and public affairs leadership across the Mid Wales Growth Deal and the wider regional programme.

Working at the heart of a complex partnership involving local authorities, Welsh Government, UK Government, elected Members, businesses and communities, you will help translate ambitious regional priorities into clear, credible and engaging communications. You will advise senior leaders, manage sensitive and high‑profile issues, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and help demonstrate the impact of investment across Mid Wales.
