Job summary

Porterhouse Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Quantity Surveyor in Wellingborough to take ownership of day-to-day commercial and financial control on projects, ensuring payments, procurement, margins, forecasts and final accounts are delivered on time.

You will review client contracts, administer payment applications, procure subcontractor packages, monitor cash flow and produce clear reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a commercial/quantity surveying role managing multiple live projects.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills required.
• Proven ability to prepare and manage payments, forecasts and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Review client contracts and identify key payment terms and risks.
• Prepare, submit and administer applications for payment in line with contracts.
• Lead subcontract procurement, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and place orders.
• Manage payment notices and queries to maximise certified value.
• Track payments and work with Accounts to improve cash collection.
• Maintain project cost data and provide profitability view.
• Prepare project forecasts and commercial reports for management.
• Support commercial close-out and final accounts.
