Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking a commercially driven Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team on a major engineering and construction programme. This office-based role involves strong involvement in cost management, contract administration, and reporting to optimise project profitability.

You will oversee budgets, control variations, and monitor financial performance while collaborating with clients, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and commercial principles.
  • Proven cost control, variation management, and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing project environments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control project costs to ensure budgets and commercial targets are achieved
  • Administer and manage variations in line with contractual terms

  • Provide cost analysis and feedback to production teams to aid decision-making

Job Title Commercial Quantity Surveyor

Summary We’re looking for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. This role suits an individual with strong expertise in managing contracts, cost control, and project financial performance. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring contractual compliance, controlling variations, and driving profitability across key operations.

Location and Working Pattern

Office-based, 39 hours per week
