Job summary

You will manage budgets, procure subcontractors, value and submit payments, and contribute to final accounts while supporting project managers and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and forms of measurement.
• Experience monitoring project costs, margins and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecast final accounts.
• Measuring and valuing works for customer applications and supplier payments.
• Preparing valuations, applications for payment and commercial reports.
• Monitoring project margins and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Managing variations and changes to contracts.
• Procuring and managing subcontractors, materials and plant.
• Negotiating subcontractor accounts and agreeing payments.
• Monitoring debtors, creditors and retentions.
• Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Assisting with the resolution of commercial issues, disputes and claims.
• Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts.
• Working closely with Project Managers to ensure commercial and operational objectives are aligned.
