Job summary

VINCI Building UK is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery on mid-to-large healthcare, life sciences and education projects across the North East region, including pre-construction and on-site work.

You will manage tendering, procurement, CVR reporting and final accounts, with NEC contract expertise to drive value and cash flow. This role offers regional exposure within VINCI Building’s teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience with a large UK main contractor on healthcare projects £10m+ turnover.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and plan commercial resource to meet changing demands.
• Support organisational change.
• Tendering and pre-contract activities with commercial reports.
• Start-up of new projects and implement start-up procedures.
• Procurement and subcontractor management per policy.
• Ensure timely subcontract procurement and evaluation of tenders.
• Collaborate with supply chain to improve cost, quality and learning.
• Manage applications for payment and invoicing for cash flow.
• Oversee final accounts, variations, claims and disputes.
• Cost control to meet targets and CVR reporting.
• Risk and opportunity management.
