Anglian Water Group Ltd is seeking a Client Design & Engineering Manager to provide strategic technical leadership across a complex portfolio of engineering, design and constructability activities. Working client-side, you will oversee the design and engineering function, ensure technical excellence and value for money.

Based in London and Peterborough with hybrid working 2-3 days in the office weekly, the role offers circa £87,000, full-time (flexible for part-time), and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Proven engineering leadership on major infrastructure or NSIPs.
• Significant technical expertise in a relevant discipline (dam/river engineering or similar).
• Relevant engineering degree required.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic technical oversight across engineering, design and constructability activities.
• Supporting development of programme design strategies, processes and technical requirements.
• Reviewing and accepting key engineering outputs and deliverables for Anglian Water.
• Ensuring technical integrity across scope, programme, cost and prioritisation decisions.
• Leading resolution of complex technical challenges and risks.
• Acting as technical representative for Anglian Water and Cambridge Water within governance and external engagement.
• Collaborating with regulators, environmental bodies and strategic partners.
• Championing health, safety and design risk reduction throughout the lifecycle.
