Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking an experienced Client Design & Engineering Manager to provide strategic technical leadership across a complex portfolio of engineering, design and constructability activities within the Reservoirs Programme. Working client-side, you will influence design decisions and ensure value for money.

Based in Peterborough and London with hybrid working 2-3 days in the office weekly, you will deliver engineering excellence and oversee programme outcomes while ensuring

Qualifications

• Proven leadership on NSIPs or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical expertise in dam/river engineering or similar.
• Experience managing consultancy partners and major contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management with regulators and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical oversight across engineering, design and constructability activities.
• Support development of programme design strategies, processes and technical requirements.
• Review and accept key engineering outputs on behalf of Anglian Water.
• Ensure technical integrity across scope, programme, cost and prioritisation decisions.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges and risks.
• Act as technical representative for Anglian Water and Cambridge Water within governance.
• Engage with regulators, environmental bodies and strategic partners.
